Outside Palm Springs
Apr. 30th, 2006 01:28 amI am on the road, updating LJ via CDMA technology.
Thank you, aircard.
So far the trip has been awesome.
Heading to Indio, CA right now, currently near Palm Springs.
Middle of the night, slightly behind schedule, but that's okay.
I hung out in San Francisco today and had a blast with Kelsi and TJ.
We had an awesome night in Rohnert Park in a cheap hotel.
Got wasted.
We went to Chili's, because we were starving and hadn't had real food for a looong time. Waiting for our table we ordered beer. The one beer was enough on my empty stomach to get me drunkish. It was a fabulous buzz, and then we ordered food.
Even though we drove all through Napa Valley for hours, on hwy 101, and passed a bajillion vinyards... by the time we got to BUY wine, we had few options.
We went to WalMart and bought disgusting cheap wine.
I'm a lush. Of the 2 bottles, I drank one.
We drank cheap wine, out of the cheap-hotel room plastic cups, and sat in the hot-tub after it was supposed to be closed.
Shnockered.
I was shnockered.
We tramatized TJ by singing Christian hymns to him and songs from the Newsies sound track.
He wanted to know "where he was," and "who these people were," because we were tramatizing him!!!
It was funny as hell.
*happy sigh*
And San Francisco was Seattle-like in weather today.
But the trip down was sunny as could be.
We are currently heading to Indio; this is where Coachella is.
Thank goodness for my IPOD; I am sick of someone else's CD collection.
And lastly; I am so happy to go to, drive by, these names that were always fictional places to me.
San Francisco, LA, Palm Springs.
I was hoping to see San Diego and Los Angeles more, but obviously this will have to wait for another trip.
So far so good. Getting FUCKED UP tomorrow night. We have a TON of booze.
I have a fifth of WILD TURKEY whiskey, and we have a ton of other stuff!
I volunteered for driving shift #1 tomorrow though. To be nice.
Anyhows.
CALIFORNIA rocks so far and has been really fun.
I am wasting money on going out for food, jewelry, and a new shirt that says, "Enjoy California," in the same font that usually is written "Enjoy Cocacola."

It's almost 2AM.
