Yule Party [more]
Dec. 22nd, 2003 11:41 amQuick entry. *sighs* Not sure what to talk about, but I know I have a brief moment to go on about whatever. The party was fun. Cheryl got nifty potassium nitrate… that whore. Always gets the fun shit, she does. *blinks* Julie just called me to ask me if anyone else is scheduled to come in tomorrow. No… just me. She doesn’t want to come in. She began to go into details of her operation. I really didn’t want to know.
*tries not to vomit*
So anyway. We got a goodie to bring to the party, headed out grabbed Cheryl and Cristin. Found out Cheryl would have to leave pretty early. Got there, was very crowded but still fun. Steve had some Kaluha's... I talked to those who I am familiar with. Had a superb time...we had to go around 6:15... so we stayed about an hour or something. Was it two? Not long enough!
I would have liked to go back to the party. But the problem was that Cheryl had to be back so soon. Once you get Steve AWAY… well, then you’ll never get him back. “oh sure honey, you can go back by yourself…” I decided to say, forget it. I mean why bother? Part of Yule is being with those most special to you. So, I didn’t go back. So very tempting when I saw Cristin getting back on the freeway… I was only disappointed I had to leave so soon. But, I still had a good time. Eh. Is this day over yet? It seems rather bleh to me. I’d really like the holidays to pass. I used to look forward to it. I looked forward to Yule… and that’s over. But Christmas and the rest of my family. Well, I’m ready for the holidays to pass so I don’t feel like I am working while everyone else is off. I am the ONLY person in the office right now. Yes, I have work. But, I thought I’d post seeing as no one is here and I have time to. So anyway. Fun stuph. Talked to Chad at the party, and any number of others. Can’t think can’t think.
On another level:
It was really nice for Cheryl and Cristin because Steve actually talked. No kidding, I think the drinks did him some good. He was back into the Steve that comes out with people he knows [singing verses and making small jokes, instead of standing there tense quietly in a corner….] For instance, the ommpa loompa song came up and Steve began doing the little dance… he was buzzed.. He'd NEVER have done that without the alcohol in front of strangers!
Steve was attacked by 2 different outgoing gamer sorts, ironically, and he was in conversation for a period of time with them. Of course one of them was like, "what other questions can I ask you?" to him and I had stopped listening by then and was talking to someone else… then the guy was like, "have you ever been in love?" to Steve and he randomly grabbed my hand and held it up… I was like, "uhhh… what? Huh??" completely lost. [I asked him later.] So, for all these people who know ME and never see me with anyone because Steve never comes to my events, it was really good. For those who know him and never have seen him, which there are quite a few, finally have a non-digitalized face to a name.
We exchanged Yule gifts. That was fun. Yule has come. The days will now be longer, for which I am glad.
I am sooo excited and a tiny bit nervous for our Oloteas ritual about the Holly/Oak King battle to the death. That's ONLY this Saturday! I have all my lines, and we have our staff routine down pretty well. But can we pull it off smooth for the public? *CROSSES FINGERS*
Anyway. I don’t think without Joshua’s party, Yule would have been nearly as merry as it was this year. So again, we’re glad to have been able to come to his party. I think Steve even had a good time…. Hopefully we CAN hang out more with Joshua.

PS--- I think I just want to be at home... finish the rest of my last minute errands and shopping, :X
