Let that pony run...
Jan. 26th, 2006 12:02 amYeah. I'm awake.
And listening to music that I like.
One of the many genres.
Let That Pony Run
Pam Tillis
Mary was married with children. Had the perfect Suburban life.
'Til her husband came clean with the help of Jim Beam.
And he confessed all his sins one night.
Said he'd fallen in love with a barmaid.
Said she made him feel reckless and young.
And when he got through, what else could she do.
She just let that pony run.
Chorus:
You do what you gotta do. You know what you know.
You hang on 'til you can't hang on and then learn to let go.
You get what you need sometimes and when it's all said and done.
You do what you gotta do and then you let that pony run.
Mary moved to West Virginia after the shock wore off.
She got a divorce and a Chestnut horse,
And a barn with an old hayloft.
Sometimes she rides down by the river.
Says it makes her feel reckless and young.
She just closes her eyes and she holds on tight
And she lets that pony run.
You do what you gotta do. You know what you know.
You hang on 'til you can't hang on and then learn to let go.
You get what you need sometimes and when it's all said and done.
You do what you gotta do and then you let that pony run.
Let that pony run.
Signing off for the night. 6:30AM comes too quickly. And tomorrow could potentially become a 13 hour day with filming the PPC meeting. Joy. Planning. I'll try not to get choked up when I think of planning.
Those meetings felt so good when I could relate them to Khaya.
I'd imagine him presenting his projects to boards like the ones I was filming.
Silly, I know. It was just fun to fantasize a bit. I'm like that.
