Somehow this pisses me off

On our web filters to keep people from going to bad sites, "thelema101.com" is classified under, "Pornography/Adult Content." I'm. Offended by this notion.

I know it's work and blahblahblah. But who in the XSTOP company has the right to call that "adult content." There are no images in these sites pretty much.

Wtf.
I am contemplating talking to my boss!! Wtf.

EDIT:
I discussed it with my boss and he showed me how to change the XSTOP filters.
I was incensed. I am sure the people who write the filters must have been religious or something and biased.
Because that is so totally not porn, OR adult content.
And now it has been changed for the City. Because OMFGS.

What filtering software does your company use? Some of these tools have undeclared but very obvious religious and political biases, particularly CyberSitter, which is just plain nasty.

Yep, that's one of them. Apparently, 8e6 was started in partnership with the American Family Association - a right-wing Christian organization. You're not imagining things, nor was this an honest mistake. Filtering systems like this one have no business being used in governments and schools.

I haven't kept up with recent developments in the filtering wars, but last I checked, the best tool for unbiased filtering was NetNanny.
