angelak: (Sexy Legs)

For a few months I've considered jogging as a fitness option in leui of the idea that hiking is hard to do after dark. In this city I feel pretty comfortable alone after dark on the main sidewalks ...

Thursday night I went for a jog and it went pretty well. The realization that I jogged downhill on Tiger Mt and the realization that at some point I didn't want to stop jogging even on the flat portions, brought on the realization also that it isn't as bad as I always made it out to be. Especially since the last time I tried, I was definitely no hiker or ice skater or swimmer.

Since then these activities have changed my body entirely, and my co-ordination. YEAY for that.
TJ said it wasn't an easy thing and that it takes lots of patience to get into.
This was enough to finally get me to try.

So Thursday's jog was not bad and I went for one in the heat of today and found it was a little less preferable to my summer-sunset run.

Some running is better than no running - none the less.
I also predict the more I frequent the roads in Issaquah - the more people will comment how they "saw me out" last night. My life gets to be a giant episode of cheers sometimes. No real complaints anyway.

Anyhow. It felt great to get out and get my blood pumping and my lungs a pumpin as well. And my legs.
I feel it in different places than my typical uphill hiking muscles - although I suspect it might help me all around. We'll see how long this lasts.

Jimmy is in drill today. I'm dealing with the possible news pretty well at the second. I feel amazingly at peace. It's my personal prayer that he stays here. If you have any weird soldier comments - please save them.

This morning I had a great breakfast with Kelsi and we talked and talked. That girl is wonderful.

Last night I had a lot of fun with luna_piena and violindaine. We watched Ferngully and made dinner at my place and it was in general great girl talk time. We also determined that some folks in the Tool band might possibly be Thelemites, by looking at what we saw in the pictures of their latest album (10,000 Days.)
I almost shit a brick because Maynard is already my hero. And the rest of the band. Awfully suspicious when you see the tree of life on the wall in one of the album art pieces and then you see the Crowley Thoth Tarot deck on a table in that same art piece. Good gods. I liked this band before I turned to my pagan path.

*giggles in glee* Another reason to fall in love with them even more. AND OH MY GODS>Q@#)(*%@)( Kelsi and TJ are going to their latest concert at the gorge. I am SOOOOOO jealous - but I was broke. SO I didn't even try to get tickets. :/ Onwards.

On Thursday before my jog, I hung out with Mel, Stephanie, and Andrea. Those girls startle me. I could write a post on that. Pleasant none the less.

Wednesday was Softball night. We lost. I played 2nd base and was getting the hang of it. Tuesday was obviously beer Tuesday and filming night for concerts on the green. Tonight I am covering the only Saturday Concert all season. After I do this, I'll be bolting down to see my sweetie.

I made brownies earlier today for my fella. I hope he likes them!!!!
What else, what else??? Hmm.

After Kelsi and I departed I spent some quality time alone. Browsing some stores. I was proud because I ended up with one purchase: Brownie Mix. Good job, Angela!!!!

Although I did go to Brown Bear and spend more than was necessary on a car wash. But still. Classy totally wanted a bath. And it turns out better at their car wash.

None the less.
I must shower and get ready to meet the Tim's and Laney at the office. For our concert.
Did I mention later tonight if things are in a happy state of mind - Jim still has his birfday surprise!? Eeek.!!
