In other news...
Dec. 14th, 2007 08:52 amI don't feel like working today. Interesting for the first day the boss is on "vacation," for varying other employees to send an email to everyone except the boss that says all of one line, subject and content the same, as follows:
I am working from home today
(no punctuation beyond what you see.)
Seeing as my day was swamped yesterday and I know this person has left early like every day this week with different excuses... ugh.
So, to alleviate any annoyance, I decided to try solving a smaller issue unrelated. Today, Jim informed me there was no other coffee mugs for him to take with him to work. He had left at least one of them elsewhere and he doesn't like my "SMILE" coffee mug that I got from my Dentist any more than I do. I had bought a secondary mug, my Nashville mug is wearing out (I don't like the bottom anymore.) So, I was trying to keep one of my two secondary mugs... but he needed to use it. Well, fuck.
I went to Starbucks and bought 2 more mugs and I think we will junk the ones we hate. (the mugs). I am lucky - they were 20% off. It just gets old trying tod eal with that repeatedly. I want my coffee. My coffee was definitely delayed.
I am treating myself to a Gingerbread latte and I will then drink my normal coffee which is re-warming right now. I am taking a 9AM break and don't care. I have tons of work to do, but after yesterday... ugh.
And reading that email. Ugh.
I found a dress last night to wear to Travis' work's Christmas get together. It will be fun. That's tomorrow night. I had been worrying about finding something to wear, and last night I took care of that detail. Phew. And I didn't buy some gawd-awful last-minute item. So that makes me a little less bitter.
Again. Work sounds very unappealing. Is it 1800/6PM yet?
Blarg. Hmmmm...
Oh. Here comes the phone call from the Cmdr. Guess they actually need a support person ..... wonder where the hell the one they hired is right now? Oh... and guess who is going to go take care of that? It makes me so frustrated. It's going to be me. I fucking hate people. Time to refill my coffee and eventually meet someone to someone else's work. Because I obviously don't have 12 other things right now - to do that is.
