Top Ten Reasons Why Iraq Should Be Our 51st State:

1.

We spend over $5.6 billion dollars a month in Iraq, which is more Federal aid than any current state is receiving.

2.

At $5.6 billion dollars, we could pay each and every Iraqi $215 a month, ten times what their average income is now. How could they complain?

3.

With an estimated 250,000 American citizens currently residing in Iraq it is already nearly half the population size of Wyoming.

4.

Fighting would have to stop because the U.S. cannot declare war on itself.

5.

We save time and money not having to draft up a separate Iraqi constitution since we already have one.

6.

Baghdad is only 1400 miles further from Washington than Honolulu is.

7.

Historically, we have added new states about every 50 years. We are due.

8.

We reduce unemployment by creating jobs for English teachers.

9.

Forget the oil. We need a state with a “Q” in it!

10.

We made Alaska and Hawaii states.

This is one of those things that at first I was all AHHAHAHAHAAA! Then I was, "Wait a minute...". I know it would never fly but a loooong time ago I posted a rant on the war and how basically we either need to let the people of the world kill each other or colonize them. This was right after some retard sent me a picture of soldiers in their coffins as a war protest...while my husband was deployed. I freely admit I am torn over the issue. I don't want our troops there but if we leave now there will be war. The ethnic groups will kill each other, Iran has already said as soon as we leave it is ON!, and then Saudi Arabia said they would go to "defend" the helpless Iraqis. Hmmm. What a mess.

It is far enough reaching and big enough so I freely also admit that I really don't know what to think or want for it.
