I feel rested.
The last 2 nights I have made a conscious effort to go to bed if not at, as close to 11 as possible. Alongside my double-short-latte with a shot of Irish Crème, the added sleep is making a difference. My body feels better. I feel better. My mind feels more lucid and able to function properly. No more sleep deprivation. Even those of us who are youthful are vulnerable to sleep deprivation over extended periods of time.
I am still recovering from September’s strange sleep hours, and October’s extended late night phone calls to various un-mentioned individuals.
Yesterday I had planned on visiting the grandparents. I got a call from James earlier in the day asking if I’d like to go visit Melissa in the hospital. Her Crone’s disease was acting up badly. So, as it went, I briefly saw the grandparents :X and then rushed off to see the Melissa.
Ah, I drove the Trans Am for the first time since it was crashed, and also since it was repaired. The familiar old friend. I am glad, in a lot of ways, he got it back. My beloved square-feeling-6-speed-manual clutch; a friend to visit now and then. Yes. Blue-green-purple paint, with lots of attitude, and more power than any ricer could match. Oh, beloved rear-wheel-drive, orgasmic LS1 engine. Oh, the neck-snapping, torque-ridden pleasure. The low roar of the exhaust and LS1, sexily following me to the hospital.
We visited briefly. There was some crabby old wench on the other side of poor Melissa’s curtain. Ugh.
And then we went back to grab the dogs [Grandpa was dog-sitting all 4 of our Dachshunds, not to mention the one who lives with him, so 5 at once....]
[Fly, Fritz, Gretchen, Rufus, and Fergus.]
I was sad to leave and only have a brief visit with both my mom and my Grandparents... but I was starving and there was nothing to really eat at the Grandparents’ house. Usually there is. And by then it was around 9PM.
Eh, jeah. That's all.
