Cool, I still don't know who I am going to vote for for president. I have no good reasons to vote for either Bush or Kerry. And I simply won't vote Kerry just to get Bush out of office. That is like cutting off my left hand to save my right and is the wrong reason to vote for someone, in my opinion. I am either going to vote for Nater, or write someone in. That is just me though. Assuming I get a chance to vote I won't be getting off till late and might not be able to make it before the polls close.

LoL so I did. Been a long day at work so far. How did your time at the polls go anyway? Was it quick or did it take long? I donno, who did you end up voting for? And why did you vote for them? I haven't heard any real reasons to vote for Kerry over Bush other then because Bush sucks or because Bush is doing this or going to try and do that. (Which I will not deny) I hope in 2008 we actually get to see some good people run for President. Doubt it will happen but still, I can hope for a decent canidate can't I? One who is in touch with the people and not an Idiot.

This might answer a few of your questions.

It's also important to keep in mind that voting against something or someone is a very valid reason to go to the polls, often even more valid than voting for something or someone.

Voting against something is definately a Valid reason. And for lesser offices I can see where voting against someone no matter who the other person is could be ok. But when you start talking about Senators, Govenors and the President. Voting against someone simply to vote against them can be very dangerous. I have not seen or heard one thing from the Kerry camp that makes me believe he can/will do the things needed to keep this country safe. He never seems to hold a solid position on things. He says one thing and votes another, he votes one way and then says another. So I am left wondering what he will actually do in the presidency. I know what Bush will do, I may not like it but atleast I know what to expect. So for me at least it has gotten to the point where Kerry might be better but he might be much worse and with a position as important as the president can I endorse such a gamble. Which is why I will probably not vote for either of them. But I haven't voted yet so I may change my mind. So I really don't care who wins, if I vote for neither of them and vote for someone else I can bitch about whoever wins cause I had no part in putting them in office :)

I don't think it's any of your business who I voted for and why. That's personal.

And I don't really feel this is the forum to discuss "who to vote for," because frankly, it also isn't my business who YOU voted for, either. Ugh.

The importance is that everyone DOES vote; not necessarily who or why they vote. I really don't need to share that on this public forum, nor do I want to know about yours.

I voted absentee, therefore I didn't really spend time withIN the "polls."
