Payday and Friday.

Wow. The last week I have been.... very tired. Well; not visibly tired really. It's just that I keep laying down, and waking up several hours later. That's frustrating to me, because what it amounts to is, I work, and sleep. My afternoon plans are typically some sort of exercise, and that's been hard to obtain through my sleeping, waking for a quick snack around 10, talking to Khaya briefly before sleep. And it’s no doubt the boys [Rufus and Fritz,] were RATHER pleased with this last week. Instead of being out and about, I have spent it all lounging around with THEM. Which is actually the good part of it. And the rest is good too—but really. Ten hours of work, only to come home and sleep? Eh. Not so great on the brain. No “Look at me, I’m not at work,” conscious time!

Hm. Strange.
Granted, today I feel pretty damned rested. Though really sad I missed my swimming night!

Moving on. To the other great aspect about my job. Two of them actually:
Friday, AND Payday. Looked at my bank account and relished in the slightly larger number—signifying the first time that my raise has been effective on TIME. [I had some back pay, which was pretty awesome also.]

That extra bit actually might make life a little easier in regards to some of my current financial goals. This makes me feel a bit happier. I’ve decided to revert partway back to my old spending habits. And especially not to jump on making an impulsive, tempting, huge-gantic LOC payment. Tempting. But I should wait until the 18th. Just for my own sanity ;)
Yeah—to no one else does that necessarily make sense. But it IS what’s on my mind at this lovely hour of the morning.

And I mean, because of my anal retentiveness—I am waiting on a few things that I’d really like to do.

Things I want that cost money:

1- A trip somewhere. Airfare. Lodging. That shit.

2- To upgrade my computer. It’s getting rickety. Really.

3- A new monitor. Mine is tired and ready to die.

a- I’d *like* an LCD.
b- I’ll probably end up with a CRT due to lesser cost.

4- Save for the down payment on the soon-to-be newest addition to my family. A WRX; see LJ-icon and image below. [No, I’m not going to have THREE cars, I plan on consolidating and trading in both of my others.] And it looks better in blue. Tentative schedule on it's arrival is either August or December this year. [Either a birthday present for me, or a Yule gift for me...]




Hungry. I haven’t been to the Market to get coffee yet. Nyah. It’s not raining, perhaps I should go now. Hrm.

I knew you were going to trade in Joe, but you're going to trade in the Camaro, too? Wouldn't have seen that one coming.

Not that Canada has any...special...significance...to me.
Okay, well maybe it does.
But I'd have to find another trip to engage the other significance in, lol.

When are you guys going?
yeah. The Camaro. Well; couple of pieces of logic to that puzzle.
It's a hard thing; but... it has it's problems. It's getting old, DUH, and I don't foresee the engine I need to put in it getting funded so much anymore.
That will have to be a later in life project; to say the least, not now.

It feels a bit of a pain with it's intermitant starting issues... I don't drive it anymore. Though I love the car. Secondarily... well, I'm sure I can cut costs with insurance by eliminating that. I know my insurance will probably take a big jump with the WRX when I get it. Put "Turbo-charged," and "under 25," in one sentence for them....

Can we say "pay out the ass"?

lol. Also the payments will be higher. By like double what Joe is. But jeah. It will be a nicer car, that I'll own longer, that will be newer--- and get this: IT WILL HAVE 4 doors, and still be more powerful and better. Don't forget the AWD for the shitty weather :D

So far, we plan to go to Victoria, BC for the first part of Spring Break. We're hoping that we can drive to Redmond on a Thursday, head up to Canada on Friday, come back to the States on Sunday, and stay in Redmond till Wednesday.

You see, Peggy has never been to Canada, and I consider that crazy, since she's lived so close to it all her life. So, I pledged to drag her up there one day, and March seemed as good a time as any.

Hey, if you want a real trip somewhere, you can take me to France next spring. ;) I'll probably go anyway if I possibly can. It'll most likely take a miracle, but I've got my subtle hopes.

And I do see your point about the vehicles. It definitely makes sense.

The cars. Yeah. I love the Camaro; but unless I spontaneously get hit by a bus or die in my sleep or someone decides I'm a great murder target to mercilessly devour...

I went to Canada with Mel when we were in the 5th or 6th grade. With her parents. And. It was. Weird.!

Buuuut. I'm thinkin I'll start with another state first. And my list lends me to a couple of places; foremost?
Scotland
Spain
Sweden...

And I'll throw Sweden in there because of Camlost. But no one here knows Camlost. But I have *got* to meet that guy someday. Anyone want to know why I always say "hej," and "jeah,"? Well. We can blame it on the insane Camlost character. MUAHAHA.

Jeez. I wonder why.
But no. Really. Some state first.
Because I just never travel.

And Judy told me I need a trip or else.
