Ice Rinks...
Feb. 25th, 2005 10:59 amI am comtemplating the shitty ice rink for later tonight; if no other insane plans come up.
I'll push for a hike, and perhaps go ice-skating after the fact.
I miss the ice, it feels as though it has been too long.
I've got to work on my 3-point turns, lunges, and spirals. Driving to Lynnwood on a Friday night just seems more hassle than it's worth. Perhaps with my own beauteous blades, it will make up for the crummy ice with obnoxious hockey fiends in Renton. They can blow me.
I should also practice the "attitude," which Jill describes. She's quite good at it herself, but then. She always had more attitude than me.
Hm. Who knows. Just a thought. My skates are screaming at me asking me to take them out on the ice soon though!
*blinks* We'll see if I can stand the Highlands Ice Arena. Perhaps when I cannot make it to Lynnwood, this might provide me a reasonable alternative. I hope my experience with it isn't as tramatizing and horrible as my last encounter with the rink. But we're nearing on a year ago that I went there.
I do know that my favorite rink ever, IS the Lynnwood Ice Arena, though.
*shrugs* The sunshine is in full force.
I have not yet decided whether I am attending OLOTEAS this month.
I know one thing is certain: I miss Cheryl. Putting any and all other freaky, disgusting, drama-ridden, foolishness aside... it's really just that simple.
Cheryl: Good luck with your role in this month's ritual. You rock, and I love you.
And that is being said with all else clouded, and set to rest at this instant.
In other news: I love this community. Time, and the mountain that owns me, will heal all. Though I may not ever quite feel the same, and I know that feeling is mutual in other folks too. I know that it is what it is, and it's okay.
I hope that none of you have given up on me, or will give up on me, in the interim.
That's all.

Date: 2005-02-25 11:37 am (UTC)If you don't go iceskating tonight, how about a ritual in a shamanic tradition that specifically recognizes such bonds?
One of my housemates is an Incan shaman, and she holds public ritual every month. This month's ritual just happens to be tonight. It's out in Woodinville; I can get you directions if you're interested.
....really?

This really has very little to do with your entry...
