angelak | Monday Update

Here’s a quick post:

Yesterday was busy!
Dropped Khaya off at work, drove to Burien to visit the grandparents, left Rufus to visit with Grandpa---convinced Grandma to go for a drive.
Drove to Issaquah to get “The Da Vinci Code,” because she wants to borrow my book to read it.
We picked up lunch--- and I talked her into coming inside my place to eat.
This is a challenge for Grandma to get around. Her legs are not so great. Getting in and out of anything is always a challenge. Backing Joe into the neighbor’s drive-way, next to my gate, provided as straight of a shot that I could possibly get.

Yeay.

We ate, visited, and she saw my dwelling for the first time since Steve had lived there with me.

She seemed to like the lay out.

We were just about ready to head back to Grandma’s house, when I was telling her I would be visiting my mom in the afternoon. She suggested that she come along. I knew mom would be excited for Grandma to come see her new place, so we headed out to Everett from Issaquah.

Melissa was just leaving from visiting my mom—and we managed to get Grandma in mom’s place! 2 places in one day for Grandma is PHENOMINAL.
So, that was fun. We hung out there for a while until we headed back. I convinced mom to come out to Grandma’s with us.

We had dinner, visited Sarah and Grandpa—and I retrieved Rufus, who had lounged around with Grandpa.

He always enjoys a break from Fritz. [Rufus that is.]
After we headed out, we decided to visit Frye’s and look at flat screen monitors – as my income tax refund would allow me to play with some money. YEAY PLAYING!

So I found my 19” ViewSonic Flat screen and also found myself very pleased with it.
While I was there, I also found a totally awesome deal on a DVD player—since my old one had crapped out.

So that also had me stoaked. No more having to reply strictly on Khaya’s DVD player.

I then drove mom home and visited with her and dad for a while.
That was fun. Reluctantly, I left to go home with my goodies.

Home I went to hook up the new monitor!!! Eeeee! It was great.
I finally fell into bed just past midnight.

Early to rise, late to crash.

Lots of driving; but very much worth it to get Grandma out of the house and moving—as well as give Grandpa a break from Grandma.

Very fun. Also had a blast shopping in Frye’s with my mom, and visiting my dad in the evening.

That’s my rundown of MONDAY!
