Life post and thankful thursday
Sep. 13th, 2007 02:04 pmIt’s been another slow LJ week. I didn’t have words for my latest blahs. Regarding the rental unit, regarding much other life adjustments.
So anywho. I still don’t really! Ack. I’ll just add a few things since I’ve been particularly quiet.
The last two days sucked because I couldn’t go running. Circuit training made me sore again. Made Jim sore too. Heh. We’ll be doing it once a week until it stops making us sore, then perhaps increase it to twice – more or less it sucks because it slows me down as far as workouts the next 2 days. And really I suspect it’s more day 2 than day 1.
I will excitedly await the results of happy strength training. I know it will show in my run times. It has been nice with Jim living with me. Although we are still definitely adjusting. Right now is the challenge regarding my eating habits verses his. It would never have mattered until this year when I actually started giving a shit about my food habits. He also likes to “eat with me,” meaning, eat the food I eat, except thereby being affected by my choices. He doesn’t always think it is enough. Welllllll… damn.
He likes to “eat with me,” but then it becomes an issue when my food choices are limited. (IE – I am not gung ho on eating out like I once was.)
It’s still well and good though. He has started his job more seriously with Shane. He worked 12 hours yesterday – and he didn’t necessarily have to. He has really been enjoying his new gig. (Car interior repair for local dealerships all over the area). Shane has his own business, and a partner. Jim is his one employee. Shane is my best friend’s boyfriend. Yes. It’s interesting. My best friend’s guy is my guy’s boss.
Shane is training Jim. The two are a good match in working I think because they are both extremely positive, and not macho – hard working people. That and both have fair, reasonable heads on their shoulders.
We’ll see how late Jim works tonight. He has tomorrow off. He said something similar to “we can hang out that evening.” I had to remind him that no, I actually have plans almost immediately after work. Felt a little bad because it sounded nice. But yeah. Plans.
That means tonight will be my chance to have a peaceful evening with him. Last night was more or less us bickering about what to eat. Damn.
( THANKFUL THURSDAY! )
