The first of the year!

angelakNew years was relaxing, and fun, as I wanted. Although around 8 or 9 PM I got restless, as everyone knows-- going to my grandparents warrants little moving around and much discussion. This was okay. Eventually I didn't feel restless anymore and it sufficed to listen to my grandpa talk about his siblings and his family. You see, on December 2nd of this year, the last of his siblings died. He had 12 siblings. We saw a picture of his brother, and it looked strikingly similiar to him. As I've never seen pictures of these relatives, I was intrigued. As it is, history and the past is a strong area of interest to me.
Lots of this talking, was much fun. I hate the little video games that they played, but some were entertaining and fun, and they kept Steve busy. Silly Steve.
As Chris told us we could leave early, I spent the time rearranging my room, and creating a better space for my alter, which I need to arrange and create properly. I have been so busy since I moved in that it is lacking. I have some shelves that I hung on the wall above my alter that take my more nick-nacky items off my alter, and leave room for the elements. This makes me happy, and I'm excited to start working on it. Perhaps that will happen today.
I also plan on cleaning the bathroom with Steve's aid, and since I finished picking up the living room, the joint is pretty clean. The side room will be up to Steve. And, when I get around to it. I just REALLY wanted our room to be NOT messy. It has much improved and I am very pleased with it. This I did with the spare 2 hours I had before we left for my grandparents' house.
I stayed and talked with grandpa after everyone else left. At last, around 1:30, I drive home and went to bed at 2:00. I am not tired, as I woke at 9, and snoozed until 10:30. I am now thinking I should get dressed and go for a walk. Perhaps I will go to Target or something also. It is nice and relaxing, as I am being paid as we speak. I like holiday pay... a lot :D
Oh yes, I moved Silverstar [my computer] to a final resting location, with this beautiful 19" flat screen and my black keyboard. The desk is clean. It is my area. It will be clean. My slobby love has his area in the back, behind a door, in the side room. No one has to see! Oh. Actually, we now have 3 screens hooked up to his computer, which is very kickass and gives us lots of desktop space. YEAY for that. I also threw 128MB of RAM into Silverstar, so it is now running 256MB total, which it is much happier with. Yeay for Angela.
So anyway. I must utilize this day fully, and waste none of it. Although 11:00 is already approaching! Yikes! Off I go!
