I’ve been using my body lately, but not nearly as strenuous exercise as I usually like.
Instead of uphill hiking, all the time – intense cardio that makes me happy –
I’ve been busy this summer.
I film the concert on the green every Tuesday. This requires carrying around a heavy camera on my shoulder for an hour and a half. Laney asked me today how I do it. (Other camera girl who is on tripod.) She was shooting some b-roll for ten minutes and her shoulder was getting tired.
Am I building muscle or what from that? I do not know. The hardest part about it is obviously to stay still and steady.
Tuesdays used to be hiking day and now they’ve become filming day.
Thursdays, every other Thursday I do Planning Policy Commission meetings. I would otherwise hike these days, except PPC. PPC is completely sedentary.
Wednesdays. Well, from now on I will have a softball game every Wednesday for the City softball team that I joined. This would have been a hiking day as well.
Are you seeing a trend in my schedule? So, it means I may have to cut back on some Jim time to include some hiking, or include him – except I find he is not nearly as actively inclined as I am, even if he is an army lad.
I have learned it is one thing to be personally driven to become fit.
It is another thing to be ordered into fitness.
I realize my fitness endeavors are all personally driven.
Allllrighty then.
Luckily my softball games only go until August 16th. I have one Monday game and the rest are Wednesday games. I listed my days not available as all Mondays, because I want either Jim-Monday time or Mom-Monday time.
I need to also spend time with my family outside of my weekly schedule.
I like to spend weekends in Tacoma at this time, although I also hope the fella picks up some of the commuting now that army-gig is nearly over. (It ends when Mercury goes direct, July 28th!)
So folks, enjoy Mercury going direct, I know I will.
I have also been exploring new calendar options, because I am spending less time in my home dwelling. Surprise? No. This happens to me. I forget sometimes though, how much I love my own home. Those months when I was single and dating around and I spent most of my time at home, I became to really enjoy my home setting.
I learned that it was a good place to be, in spite of my idle-ness.
I have canceled my gym membership in hopes that when the weather goes south, I will just go to the community center where, as an employee benefit, I have a membership for free.
Also, I could work out in the 24 hr police gym… although I always get weird about the police department gym. I may be allowed to access it, but what if I run into cops? I don’t want them to see me on the elliptical!?
SUCH a dork, am I.
Oooh, but I still have a valid membership until September. Annoying. I could have canceled a few months ago and saved $100.
Foolish Angela for being slow on the cancelling.
More later, lovelies.

Date: 2006-07-26 11:14 pm (UTC)That week is possibly entirely booked already.
Possibly, we can meet Jim Monday, although I am uncertain as to what his work schedule will be in August. Here is what my calendar reads:
7th: The one Monday softball game, 8:30 PM. - The best chance we may get to hang out and for you to meet Jim.
8th: concert on the green, 6-9. Typically I don't see Jim on Tuesdays.
9th: Softball game, 7:15PM.
10th: (This is 85% certain) Planning Policy commission meeting.
11th: Employee Recognition Event in the evening. This is a possibility. You could come with. I am planning on inviting Jimmy to this event. Food is served (dinner) between 5-6. I get off at 4 that day. I am hoping Jim can come. It actually might be just the day. I could bring you that day either way. I know very little of what his schedule does.

Re: gods.
Date: 2006-07-28 12:10 am (UTC)Anyway, I'm thinking Monday might be the best. That'll be the day that we actually get into town, and I'm going to try to get there sometime in the early afternoon. Would it work for Peggy to drop me off at your place, then you and I could hang out for a few hours before your game? Hopefully your man could come up in the evening, and I could meet him then.
Re: gods.
Date: 2006-07-28 12:28 am (UTC)Well, seeing as I won't know his work schedule for a while on that - I cannot sadly confirm.
Most Mondays as of late I am up there, as having been there the previous day.
It's up in the air still as to exact. Details. I'd also have to feel him out.
He may or may not work that day, blahblah.
Annoying, I know. But ja.
