My vacation:
August 25
Friday of the day off. Yeay! This is going to be hard seeing as I forget all the things that happened this vacation. Let’s see. Jim came over after work. I’m not sure what we did, although I do know we played WoW for a while and hung out. Jeeez I hate when I forget these things. OOOH Now I recall.
I drove to Burien to drop off Rufus and Fritz so that I could do filming/OLOTEAS without worrying about them. Jim came with and met my mom, dad, and grandpa. This went well. He was his usual outgoing, friendly, adorable self. Everyone got along quite well and obviously, he was showing his compatibility with me. If I do say so myself, we make a swimmingly cute couple.
August 26
Saturday. I filmed 10-1PM. I got up, and covered a soap box car race event for TV21 and greeted Laney. Cmdr Stan got me coffee. This was greatly appreciated. Spent a while filming kids in their soap box cars. Afterwards I was scheduled to cover the ribbon cutting ceremony at a new park opening in Highlands. Much to my driving around for 40 minutes, asking everyone around in the neighborhood – I could not find the park. I was frustrated and drove home dejected and pissed off. Really, really pissed off. Jimmy was still slumbering in my abode. I grabbed TS’s personal cell off the wall and dialed it furiously. I left no message. It was too late. I missed the event. And now I was sure I wasted my gas, 30 minutes of driving around, and having not gotten very good directions from TS in the first place – well, this equated to basically me wasting my time, miles on the car, gas, and clutch on those damned stupid hills. I’m good with my clutch – but it still counts as a wear and tear on the car. I was angry.
Jimmy helped me feel better with his lovely love-making abilities.
We went to Panera bread for lunch and that was fun. Afterwards, Jim decided he wanted to go to OLOTEAS with me!!! I was stoaked. We arrived mid afternoon. We greeted the Kirkbuses. It was quick for him to see that the culture was huggy, and unique. ;)
He seemed at ease. Spent the day socializing with the Kirkbus girls. This is standard lately. Jimmy met 92375029857 people. Orianna pulled me aside and asked me who the dude was. (In other words.) Many people approved of my cute sweetie. I felt cheerful. He went swimming in the pool no less! This was amazing to me. I wasn’t so sure he’d do that – which was fine. We played in the pool with Jessie. He became fond of the Kirkbus sisters. Although after spending the day venting about life – I realized that we came across very negative. It’s my new Will to stop being negative about a lot of things. Duely noted. We did cleanup and went to Denny’s. He witnessed my demanding needs for coffee. Jim had not seen the childishness of my coffee demands at 2 in the morning before. He has been set straight.
August 27
Slept in and stuff. Went to the Mariner’s game with Kelsi! We met up with her in Alki and took the water taxi to downtown Seattle. That was SO much fun. Loved it. Jim, Kelsi and I socialized and went to her company picnic. First we bought him a ticket, because I got a free ticket for her company picnic. The lady selling tickets thanked Jim for all him and the troops have done for our country – was cute. He gets really touched when people literally thank him for his service. Troop support means a lot to him. (He had asked if there was a military discount on tickets. No, there is not – but the lady thought there should be.)
We ate food and tried to get our free beers. We each only got one because the second time we were in the line we were trying to grab them right before the game and the song had been sung and by the time we got to the front of the line… the song was over and we were 2 people away from getting free beer #2 on “Celebrate Express” (her company).
We were frustrated, but how can you really complain about not getting free beer? The man was snippy and told us he stopped serving after the song had been sung. There were only 6 people in the line. We were bummed. I consequently spent $15 on beers outside because by golly I wanted my fucking beer.
The game was fun. Jimmy was buzzed. That boy is so fun when he’s buzzed. We witnessed a Grand Salami – and the Mariners won, sweeping the Red Sox? I can’t remember who we were playing.
Jimmy bought me ice cream by the waterfront, we went into Ye Old Curiosity store (one of my favorite stores evar.) And waited for the water taxi. Took it back, dropped Kelsi off, and then went to Burien to pick up the boys. Jim and I were tired. We had stayed up late for OLOTEAS and got up moderately early to meet Kelsi for the Mariner game.
He met Grandma, although we were both spacey. I couldn’t run away right away – so at the best opportunity we left.
It was veg time the rest of Sunday evening.

Re: eeeep!!!
Date: 2006-09-06 04:40 pm (UTC)Undead warriors are awesome; the Undercity generally makes me happy every time I go there. It's so organized and goth. I got Adrienne hooked on WoW a little while back, but since we moved, she hasn't really played at all, so we've never really played the game together for more than 5 minutes. We've been beset by many troubles since the move--most recently was last night when we had to rush our beloved ferret, Cubby, to an emergency care clinic in Seattle. He had a fever of 104 and we're very worried about him. Hopefully, when things have calmed down, she'll want to play WoW with me again.

Re: Your server
Date: 2006-09-06 04:36 pm (UTC)I play on Cenarion Circle. I have an lvl 60 Undead Warlock, and a lvl 53 Orc Shaman. The Horde rules! The undead are, quite naturally, my favourite race. Although I'm fiercely looking forward to the Blood Elves with the upcoming expansion.
