Strained Neck Muscle
Nov. 18th, 2006 09:27 amCalling all folks who knows stuff about bodies.
Jim strained something in his neck while trying to get to the alarm clock this morning.
He is pretty much not able to move his arms without hurting, his neck at all, and moving is a pain in the ass.
Does ANYONE have suggestions on pain relief/muscle relaxing or this sort that could be helpful to us?
Healing energy welcome - please and thank you, loves!

Might also ask him if he's been eating enough potassium. Bananas, apricots, raisins, mixed nuts, etc.
He said he really likes nuts...

Date: 2006-11-18 07:04 pm (UTC)Arnica gel externally, and homeopathic 30C internally. I hear homeopathic hypericum (St. John's Wort) is also helpful for these things.
Alternate heat and cold to keep circulation in the area.
Don't be afraid to use ibuprofen, too, to reduce the inflammation. Once the pain is under control, THEN do some VERY gentle stretches. If it isn't significantly better by the end of the weekend, he should get it checked out.
Speedy healing!
Thanks!!!
