Calling all folks who knows stuff about bodies.
Jim strained something in his neck while trying to get to the alarm clock this morning.
He is pretty much not able to move his arms without hurting, his neck at all, and moving is a pain in the ass.

Does ANYONE have suggestions on pain relief/muscle relaxing or this sort that could be helpful to us?

Healing energy welcome - please and thank you, loves!

Massage it, stretch it, and work it a bit. Letting it tense up makes it last longer.

sports cremes are usually pretty nice for it.. or a hot towel.

Might also ask him if he's been eating enough potassium. Bananas, apricots, raisins, mixed nuts, etc.

He said he really likes nuts...

Calcium, potassium and magnesium. He should eat plenty, emphasis on the magnesium unless he normally eats tons of pickles or chocolate because most people are deficient.

Arnica gel externally, and homeopathic 30C internally. I hear homeopathic hypericum (St. John's Wort) is also helpful for these things.

Alternate heat and cold to keep circulation in the area.

Don't be afraid to use ibuprofen, too, to reduce the inflammation. Once the pain is under control, THEN do some VERY gentle stretches. If it isn't significantly better by the end of the weekend, he should get it checked out.

Speedy healing!

Thanks!!!

With a recent and acute injury it is most helpful to put ice on the affected muscles. If you wish to alternate, be certain to start and stop with cold, doing each in 10 - 15 minute blocks. Just a few times should help a lot.

Kick him hard in the shin.

When he complains that that really hurt, say "But you forgot all about your neck, didn't you?"

Works every time.

I usually
