February 9th
Jan. 16th, 2007 02:01 pmOut come the wisdom teeth on February 9th.
Goodie.
And so comes my first experience with narcotics.
And being knocked out.
Or surgery of any type. I'm not really nervous. I just want it over with.
It's called pain.
Oh well.
And besides, you go to sleep. I'll have some silly story about the last thing I remember before a bunch of time passes and I won't have remembered it at all. I love stories. My stomach will shrink; I'll be eating liquids. This pushes off the perfect involuntary weight-loss plan. Sure a few days of blah. I've seen people go through this ordeal 4 times. 4 different people. I know what the deal is. Why does everyone else know better?
Liquid food. Blahblahblah. I just hate when people hype up stuff.
Mel insisted the drugs are bad and will cause you to get sick most likely.
That's because I am sure she tried to actually take her drugs with nothing in her stomach. I am sure of this.
When she does eat normally when she isn't under the weather, it isn't much. They did say that on an empty stomach comes the nausea from the drugs.
Judgmental hypothesis on why she got so damned sick when she took hers.
As if her body is anything like mine - ???!!!
I have been known to have a sturdy stomach.
It just peeves me when people make their blanket assumptions based off of their experiences only.
And are insistent on it.
I should take lunch. I will stay till 4. And then I am going home. I might call Jim.
I want to discuss planning for this wisdom tooth business. He sucks at planning.
Good thing one of us is good at that.
And again on the Mel side of things - as kids she insisted I must accept Jesus. Heh. Yeah, sure. I used to get in fights with her about that. I was like, "ummm. If I accepted Jesus, it would only be to shut you up..." oh... I didn't say that. haah. oh.
Oh. And it appears my post it is not broken.

Date: 2007-01-16 10:12 pm (UTC)I was only on the pain meds for a day or two and then I was pretty much back to normal, minus the holes I now use to brush my molars. :)
Thanks
Date: 2007-01-16 10:16 pm (UTC)It's refreshing to see someone comment with a different perspective.
I was being all poo-poo-ey on the other side of the fence.
Maybe people just like to whine.
:D

Date: 2007-01-17 03:20 pm (UTC)If you've watched 4 people go through it all ready, I'm sure you have a good idea about what to expect. The thing I hated most was blinking my eyes and all of the sudden hours had passed and I couldn't feel my jaw. I always tend to get mad any time I suddenly fall asleep and wake up "instantaneously".
