That's a picture of the meadow that was a half a mile from where we camped after hiking several miles up. I'm thinking we might try and go there with you guys this summer, but it's not for certain. I've been up there a ton last summer :)
Almost looks like this mountain I hiked when I was in Japan (if I find the pictures maybe I can scan 'em); very steep, difficult to trek, and ever so beautiful. "I want to see mountains, Gandalf!"-Bilbo Bagins.
I find the most beautiful places those that I have to really work to get to :) Not as well traveled, almost like the eyes of the lazy have not tainted the area... :) Is that a crazy thought? It's just fun knowing anyone who sees those things, really had to trek to get there. Verses these days, people can go nearly everywhere without effort. There's a real point to having to work to get something. :)
I know what you mean, that's not crazy at all. When you go somewhere that isn't "on the tourist guide" it is such a rewarding experience. I find you form a special connection to the places that seem less tapped into--as if you honor them by acknowledging their beauty that most people have forgotten.
