Week Ending Update

angelakHow about a quick rundown of the week.
Tuesday night: Meet and have a FABULOUS coffee visit with Monk, went for a run afterwards. I loved caffeine. Note; hiking intensely last week made running a lot... easier this week.
Wednesday: Work, Ritual Rehearsal, recumbent bike.
Thursday: Work, Meet up with Kelsi briefly. Read for hours.
Friday: Work, Hike Tiger.
Saturday... Yeay Jimmy.
It will have been a year that I have been with him Saturday.
This is absolutely awesome.
He is taking me to the melting pot. I will stray from my eating plan and celebrate for 1 meal. I know we'll have a blast. And yes, I have prematurely decided THAT includes dessert.
Secondarily.
Does anyone else get tired of being asked what you're up to?
I am SO damned tired of the question. At this point in my life, I don't have 20 things, or even 5 - that are really that interesting to anyone but me.
I live my life, go to work, see my boyfriend, read books, see movies, exercise as often as I can, cook, go to mass when I can, pick up rituals when I can, "study magick" when I can, visit my parents, and do that thing called life.
Right now it isn't as packed as it has been in the past for me.
Why must people always ask the mundane question of "what you've been up to," ? Okay, it isn't that bad. It's just I'm not used to having... not a whole lot to say, and when people ask, it reminds me that I really am not up to a whole lot. Except that I am - or I wouldn't always have something to do like I do.

Date: 2007-04-21 02:47 am (UTC)also, i know how you feel about that question. it's not really that i get ticked off, it's more that when i do answer the question, all the things i've been up to sound stupid and totally boring to anyone else but me. haha, so i just say "oh, the usual."
