What kind of objects or tools do you really wish you owned, and why?

This one is hard for me. I have most of the tools magickally speaking that I want. Perhaps an incense thing (you know, like many people use in the Mass?) that hangs and you burn charcoal type incense in? I like the effect and ceremonial feeling to this tool. I feel like it REALLY encompasses the element of air.

I am pretty happy with most of my tools and objects. I have a lot of unimportant wants – but I don’t think I can even think of them right now.
A tool I really wish I owned is bits of fencing that are somewhat removable and unnoticeable – the keep the dogs in once I move entirely to SideA. I want this because I want to be able to let them run free in the yard and let them out without a leash – any hour of the night. Other tools? OH!

A dishwasher. I haven’t had one for years. I still won’t have one. I’d really like that. My 10 finger version is a bit outdated, although quite sightly. Lol!!!
A bathtub instead of a shower stall. I like baths and although showers are nice, sometimes you just want to soak in a bath now and again. Did I mention I will also have another shower stall in SideA? :P

What kinds of rituals do you look foreward to in the near future, and what rituals do you wish you had coming up?

Eventually, I look forward to doing more masses, and varying roles of the mass. It just has to happen when my life is in the “ready” mode for that. I have a lot of personal rituals I foresee coming up – those that aren’t tied to groups. Solitary of sorts. The pendulum swings with me and group work verses solitary work. I value both equally, and at varying times in my life I find I do both at any given time – although typically certain periods of my life are more solitary focused or group focused.

So, the short answer: The Mass, and a bunch of personal rituals that have pretty quiet personal meaning.

Do you belong to more than one spiritual community, and if so, what do you like about each one?

I do belong to more than one spiritual community.

OLOTEAS is one. I love OLOTEAS because they have become my extended chosen family. You know how you’ve got immediate family, and then extended? They’re the spiritual form of extended family to me – although many people are well within the bounds of chosen immediate family. There’s a lot of growth that has come out of OLOTEAS for me in more ways than just spiritual. I’ve learned a lot – that is for sure. I like that it is a space where I can be my spiritual side 100% if I want to be, and there are always people there who will understand what I mean or won’t give me the “funny” look when I start speaking non-mundane. :) I have also been in countless OLOTEAS rituals as a guest ritualist, and feel like I am most in tune to the turning of the year sometimes when I do participate in the public rituals they host. This is a bonus.

OTO is the other main community I am a part of. I really like the OTO for many reasons. It is a different, more structured flavor of ritual. I know what can be expected and the lessons are many and countless. I have brothers and sisters there who accept me and it is beyond the local group. For instance, if I went to Canada I have brothers and sisters there too. Or the UK.

I like the path work that is presented with the natural course of the OTO, I like the energy of the body members. Although I would like to be more involved, I also like the fact that there is no competitive nature – and going at one’s own pace is not only respected, but encouraged. Whatever that may be. For me, that has been important in the last year. I’ve had a lot to focus on in my personal life and although I have many goals in the OTO, no one has condescended upon me for focusing for a time on those other elements.

The levels of initiation are also earned the same for everybody. There is no differential treatment and I feel like the body I am most active in (locally) is very low on the drama scale. Cheers to that!

Now, once upon a time I was a member of the Sean Ciall community. I like to think that although I am no longer technically active, that I will always in some sense be a part of that community too. Once you put your blood, sweat, and tears (there was plenty of each) into any FoL production, I imagine that it doesn’t fully go away – so, for technicality’s sake I will mention Sean Ciall. The positive of Sean Ciall are the vast amount of unique talents and inspiration people have. Enthusiasm and general Will to learn.
