Thankful Thursday and other stuff
Sep. 20th, 2007 11:09 pmThankful Thursday:
+ My Home
+ I no longer live alone
+ Rufus and Fritz
+ Jimmy
+ The house is finally getting unpacked the way I want it
+ All my limbs, digits, and fitness/health
+ My hobbies that keep me sane
+ My man, and all his patience
+ And honor. And understanding.
+ The fact that he spends money too – and not just me.
+ I bought an exercise ball and got a good deal for it
+ Lappy, monitor, computer area, computer room (IT HAS A FLOOR!)
+ Soon, my altar will be reconfigured, in a new form…
+ Love
+ Strength, emotional and physical
+ My family. Blood and Chosen.
+ I don’t take those who are close to me for granted.
+ I have money. And very little debt…
+ My job
+ My friends
+ Music and the weather
I am tired today. I woke up not wanting to get up. I have since had as much coffee as possible and then some. I am trying to PDF my LJ. It’s been pretty good so far, but it has yet to actually PDF an entire year. I got year 2003 to PDF format, but I am working on year by year making volumes (or different PDFs). I guess perhaps I was requesting too much data at once? I’m not sure. (www.ljbook.com). I donated because I know I’ll use it.
So yeah – my REAL fantasy is to actually make a real book out of it. No user icons, but then again the true content is honestly in the words after all.
If LJ folded tomorrow, I’d be most concerned about what I documented over the images.
Work was busy and yet seemed to go on and on. I have done the mission critical things for this week. I will be set for next week when I go to Seattle for some training. Good.
Today at my desk area, I am slightly feeling encroached on because Jim’s old computer is under my desk, and my old computer is on top of my desk. Sure, luckily it’s a big desk. And as much as I love him, he has re-arranged my power cords, “to make them easier to reach.” I honestly had them tucked away so they wouldn’t get in the way of my feet. Funny how different people view things different ways. Thought he was doing me a huge favor. Now he’s inconvenienced me. I didn’t have the heart to bitch about it.
I’m a Virgo and an IT pro. Messing with the way I have my cables is… well, like poking at someone else’s eyeball. You just don’t do it ;)
