It's been a few days again ;)
The weekend was pretty full. Friday, I forget what I did. Saturday, I went for a run and then end of day went to Travis' work Christmas party. Normally not one for the drinking, but I had a few. Not too shabby. It was a more formal event so I wore a pretty dress. Travis purchased himself a new tux.

The steak could have been better, but it was certainly not bad either. We met Travis at the crab pot, where he was hanging out with the rest of the Sultan posse. Jim came and ate at the crab pot. I had a feeling he would feel how he felt about the prices verses how much food you got. Either way, I ate bread and had a beer because I knew Travis and I were leaving earlier.

So, eventually it was time to leave. As we were late because Travis didn't read things very closely and didn't want to come on time, we got sat at the "partner's" table. The partners are basically his company's owner. We were apparently VERY late and as I see it - lucky we got our dinner at all! Goodness, that guy. Sucks at this sort of thing. None the less, we ate, mingled, and pretty much left after I managed to drink a few glasses of wine because I guess there was no hard A. The HR lady was upset about the lack of hard A.

I also vividly remember one of Robert's ex-co workers. Travis introduced me to him; apparently he sits next to Trav at work. Heh, small feeling world. I went to this dude's going away party and he was so easy to remember because of his boyfriend. The boyfriend being the kind of guy that stands out to me somehow. Flamboyant and such.

Anyways. What else what else? Damn. I waited too long to update my journal again. We drove to Sultan because Jim went out with the Sultan crew after the crab pot. They went to my favorite movie theatre: The Galaxy. By the time we got a hold of Jim he was headed back home - but we met him partway down 522, and we went to Kate and Kevin's place, hung out with the crew a bit longer.

Neal, AJ, Kate, Kevin, Chris, and Chris' gf. Interesting.
After that we drove home at an insanely late hour and crashed into bed after our hour drive. I like to repeat that this used to be my old commute to work. (pretty lousy.)

I had fun at the Christmas party because we talked to a dev friend of Travis' and this guy and his wife were pretty funny.
On Sunday...

I went to an engagement late after exercising, and beginning to clean the house... Damn, as I was cleaning house I looked at the calendar and realized that I had something ON that calendar!!!!! So, while at that engagement I also realized it was Grandpa's birthday. So I went there next, and that was fun.
I was glad to get to the places that I tried to forget about. I will be manning my calendar closer in the next 2 weeks, because this has gotten bad :P
Aside from feeling like an R-Tard. Monday we went to Everett and hung out with mom. I consumer whored some because my clothes are all baggy. It makes it hard to dress in the morning.

Went grocery shopping. Went home late after a pleasant afternoon with Mom. And some time with Dad. Been working and somewhat busy this week at work. Should do a Thankful Thursday, but also have some more work to do. Been exploring the concept that outdoor running feels better and also feels like more exertion than the treadmill.

I think lunchtime will feature an outdoor run and night time will feature a treadmill run.
Anyways. Enough slacking - and eventually I will need lunch.

Nah, you shouldn't feel bad on account of me. My mind has just been in need of some extra distraction lately. It'll be all good though, cause we can talk next week! Yay!

Hey there! Its Andrea, Aaron's wife. Sorry its taking me so long to say anything since meeting you! haha.. I totally lost the scrap of paper I scribbled your username on, and yesterday I dug through my bottomless pit of a purse and yay, I found it!

Anyways, it was really nice meeting you. Sorry if I seemed a little... weird. I'm always incredibly awkward when I first meet people, and for some reason ever since Aaron and I moved up here, my social anxiety has gotten so much worse. I blame the weather. I dunno. hehe..

So I'm adding your journal to my friends list! Again, it was really nice meeting you, and Jimmy/Jim/James...Jimmy? I dunno which he is most comfortable with, I just know Aaron is really glad that he's gotten back in touch with him, and hopefully once we actually get like.. real furniture in our apartment (we don't even have a kitchen table or couch or anything right now) we can have you guys over for dinner or something!

Sweet!

I hadn't forgotten about you either, I just had a lot going on at work causing me to stop browsing LJ. This month it's REALLY been happening that way.

Was great to hang out with you guys, too. I didn't think you seemed awkward, but I know how that can be too. Usually I have a tendency to imagine myself being worse than I am in these sort of situations!!!

I call Jim any number of those things... but then again, he most commonly uses Jim now days. High school era is was more Jimmy I guess. Guess Jimmy wasn't a cool army name... or something :P
