Dachshunds and Nice people
Mar. 3rd, 2004 11:53 amAnother brief post.
I did some work over at the police department. Of course, there is this lady, who used to know me when I worked at Target, that incidentally works there. She’s actually worked at the City of Issaquah for 22 years. Sheesh, who knew?!
She’s also an avid Dachshund lover herself [which I have found out over time] and she has 5 of her own! [Five… dear gods… one is crazy enough…]
I used to be her “favorite checker,” at Target. I guess she was even a little bummed when I left that job. But she mentioned it to me when she first noticed that I was interning for the city. She later found out that I have a Dachshund too. Last year. Well. Saw her again today, and talked to her for a while. Of course, she’s the sweetest lady.
I even showed her my pictures of Fritz. She’s thrilled and wants to see him when I get him.
Later, after doing things and getting back, Chris finally arrives at work [as he was feeling ucky when he woke up.]
I guess she contacted Chris to tell him what a great job I’ve been doing and had nothing but praise. I was just like, how nice of her. Whenever you want praise to actually matter… you always go to the person’s boss. Then it makes a difference.
Not to mention it puts me in a good mood.
