Weekend Updates

angelakIt was a fine weekend. I am, of course, finishing it up today... but, here's the update of Sat/Sun:
Ultimately, hung out with Cristin all weekend, which was cool. It was almost like a double-date, or was it? I'm not sure what to consider it. It was James [that's my brother or on LJ Squiddxx] Cristin, Steve, and I. First we went to Victor's and were immersed in light conversation over coffee and amateur night open mic. That was fun. Then, we went to Denny's. The waitress was very interesting, she gave us all free drinks and we only had to pay for part of our order... just because, and we never did figure out why. So I decided Gilman Denny's in Issaquah is a good one. lol.
Then, we move onto Sunday. The 4 of us went to Bob's corn maze in Bothell. That was great. We DID get lost, but Steve seemed to lead the way and we all were darting around trying to find our way out. That was fun. Afterwards we went on a hayride behind their farm tractor, and got a TON of free gourds from their gourd patch. And wait until the SG brings in our new gourd mascot... it looks like a giant dick. I'll let them see it and all of it's splendor themselves!
Lived through the entertaining show of James trying to get his rear wheel drive 2000 Trams Am out of the mud patch that was called the "parking lot." Steve had to help him. Joe had it's own challenge, but I was glad for leaving the Camaro back at home, because it's rear wheel drive and my front tires are bald on that! So...
We went to Tye lake park, and walked around, talking, and decided to play on the spinny toy after the kids abandoned it for a while. Great fun. Then, we ate at DQ, and James took Cristin home. Steve and I hung out at my place and began preliminary work on my new webpage redesign. It's going to be great, but it's still far in the works. I'm excited for that. Today, I've got plans to take Steve's Grand Prix to Discount Tire, speaking of tires... because he got a flat on Friday night while we were hanging out with my parents...
So he has the Camaro for the day. Anyway. So, now it's time to go upstairs and see what my parents are up to, and see if they want to leave and go to Everett to do the tire/shopping gig. My mom is so good at helping me spend my money... oh well. Might as well, I earned it and it's MY MONEY so if I want to spend it I WILL! Oh. Anyway. Enough rambling. I tried to make it short and sweet! So here's my version of short and sweet folks! Merry part and blessed be...

PS-- MY URGE to see friends and my pessimism about having none seems to have faded, even with 1 weekend out with a friend other than Steve and my brother. [Steve, James, and I always spend time together. Because James is downright tolerable as company!] Tolerable = not stupid, easy-going, entertaining... etc etc etc...
