2008 Questions

In Side A. Crappy city rental.
2) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
With Jim. I don't remember much else.
3) Were you in school anytime this year?
Nope.
4) How did you earn your money?
My tech support job. The same one I've had my entire adult life. And my last year of adolescence too...
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
No.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Many, many. I work with my local law enforcement as part of the IT staff... that means many encounters with my co workers, the police. They're my favorite department to work with.
7) Would you relive 2008 over and over again?
No. I didn't enjoy 2008. It was certainly not so great in 08.
8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
A new townhouse. That is it.
9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Certainly.
10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Yeah.
11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
Yeah.
12) Did you move anywhere?
Yes. To my new townhouse and out of the old crappy rental.
13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Foo Fighters. Queen's Ryche.
14) Are you registered to vote?
Yes, and I did.
15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2007?
Yes.
16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2008?
Betrayed, no. Disappointed, yes.
17) Where do you live now?
Western Washington State. Seattle area.
18) Describe your birthday?
I tried to downplay it. I wasn't in the mood to party. Some friends demanded I do * something * so I asked to meet for coffee at my local Starbucks. But then they invited some people I didn't really like, and I listened to those people blab. It was wholly unenjoyable. I did, however – have a nice tiny party at my mom's old apt.
19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2008?
Understood what it meant to be depressed.
20) What has been your favorite moment?
The year has been a blur – I think it would have been when I ran through Central Park in New York – by myself. I felt alive, at home, and happier than I can ever remember. And people were hitting on me. And I felt beautiful.
21) What's something you learned about yourself?
I am so very strong and yet so very weak. I also learned that I was comfy in a big city.
22) Any new additions to your family?
Charlie – the Dachshund who does not yet live with us yet.
23) What was your best month?
December. Because I've discovered hope again.
24) Were you in a relationship this year?
Yes.
25) What music will you remember 2008 by?
No idea.
26) Who has been your best drinking buddy/buddies?
Myself.
27) New friend?
Not really. Brian the new GIS guy in the office?
28) Favorite night out?
No idea.
29) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?
Massively.
30) Do you think 2009 will be better or worse?
I just pray to all the gods it's far better than this year. I think 08 goes down in history as one of those turbulent years that you are just glad not to go through again.
