(I prefer Firefox but on the home computer my stepdad does not want it so IE there, and in my comp class my internet portion does not work in Firefox so IE there too.)
I don't know about other operating systems, but F6 is the standard hot-key to switch between different panels within a Windows application (although an application may use it for something else). Pretty handy - especially if your mouse stops working for some reason.
