Some days!
Apr. 24th, 2009 11:45 pmIt has been some days since I updated.
That's okay. I have been halfway staying away from the computer? Sort of. Not really. Facebook has me updating my status and web-stalking everyone I care to web-stalk (which is everyone that I ever was acquainted).
In the last 2 days I have gotten in 3 yoga classes and 1 run.
It is somewhat balancing out the prior days though, where I took off for the Oregon coast with Jim celebrating 3 years together.
Speaking of the 3 wonderful years - they have been wonderful.
And speaking on terms of what I just accomplished, I just accomplished clearing my bedroom floor. One of Jim's all-time weaknesses is: Taking off clothes and then dropping them right beside the bed. This continues until he runs out of clothes.
Now - this doesn't make me very satisfied in my own room. It was shitty in his old bedroom - when it WASN'T my space, but this. This makes me nuts and IS a hazard for my knee condition. Well, I piled all his clothes onto the futon in his room (we have our room, and then I have a temple space room and he has a man-cave where the futon also lives).
The floor in the bedroom looked similar to how his old room looked when we moved him out. I have asked and negotiated on this level a few times. He means well, but he has not yet mastered the "disrobing of clothes without shedding them like skin where he undresses," act. I try not to turn into a shrew, but ja. It also makes it hard for me to keep laundry in order and the dogs tend to think that when they can't wake me up (doesn't happen often) that this is a good alternative to peeing on the FLOOR which, they know makes me even more angry.
Soooo, today I took care that. Now here's to hoping he can learn to live with a new lifestyle. Course, it doesn't help that NOW he has pulled something in his hip (hip abductor? Ass muscle?) and now is hobbling around like he's 80. We make a perfect pair, in that case. Only his is quite more acute and happens every time he moves. Well, he had to go to work day #2 with said ouch going on. I feel really bad. I hope his pain subsides quickly and that he can make it through 2 more nights of work. Because then he has 3 days off.
I adore Jim, none the less.
If clothes are the worst issue I face with him - I'd gladly take a clothes issue over a communication or emotional issue in a man, to be frank.
Clothes are obvious. You can pick them up - it's only so bad. It doesn't usually come back to haunt you later unless it did in fact hurt me - which once it did about 8 months ago.
So, although I whine on this area, I'm really on some level OK with the mild issue.
Anyhow. Gimpy will come home and also benefit to the lack of shitty clothes (or 3 feet wall between the bed and the doorway).
It was really bothering me.
It bothers me less piled on the futon where it poses me no direct threat.
Anyways. A lot of stuff on deck. I guess my post became, "let's talk about hazardous mounds of clothing!" BUt that is ok.
Alas. OTO>OLO stuff to be done tomorrow. And if I can muster a morning Yoga class, that too.
We'll see.
I am tired!
