So, I have no time with the OTO/Mass fun tonight to go to Yoga, but I chose to run today anyway!!!
And it felt great. I didn't push the pace, just to be sure I didn't cause extra reasons for stuff to tighten up - which takes just as much discipline for me as running hardcore (which I honestly don't have to fitness to do atm anyway with the de-training that occurred in 12 mo.
But it is good in lesson for me to take it easy, go slow - and enjoy what that feels like as much as letting my legs run long.
Also a smidgeon easier on tendons when you aren't pushing so much in every stride etc.
I've never been much of a "jogger," though. I even hate the term, lol.
So whilst on my cool down, I walked by IPD. There, SGT *N* spotted me "from 2 blocks off and recognized my swagger." :P
I ended up having a sizable chat and caught up with SGT*N*.
It was pleasant. I also saw Ofcr. PM. I really like PM. Nice guy.
None the less. It made me feel good either way. And now I've gotten A workout in, and have 2 more rest days until I investigate and see if the ole knees are ready for me to go again. Refreshing. I'll stick with the 30 minute cycle, with 2 minute walk sessions every 10 minutes to be safe on the tendons for a while. It will also allow me to ramp back up cardio wise. My legs are fantastic strength wise so this doesn't worry me. Mostly just reminding the body that it loves to run. And it really does. It does! People never expect to see a runner trudging down the road with a grin on their face. They're really not used to that.

Date: 2009-04-27 03:50 am (UTC)Am still taken aback by your voice tonight. I knew it was you, and at the same time, it was very different. Like other-side-of-the-veil different. Very impressive.
