6 lbs in 1 week, after gaining 6 in 2
May. 6th, 2009 08:35 amI have worked really hard this week.
Really hard - and although I always work hard at working out, I have been spotless nearly, on my food.
I was a bit pissed off that I had gained 6lbs over 2 weeks, when it had taken me precisely 2 weeks to bust it off prior to that. I try not to write too heavily on the topic of weight because most people hate to think about it, hear about it. It's a reality for me that it's a project for me. My fitness, my figure, my weight, and my performance is a lifelong project to me that I have made my hobby. SOoooo...
This week, I ate as clean as possible, made a new plan with my food/fitness.
I worked really hard. I usually, when trying to drop lbs, lose at 1-2lbs per week.
This is my reality.
THIS WEEK I DROPPED A WHOPPING 6 lbs, putting me back where I was! I AM SO STOKED. This week I will really work on my food, continue cooking home-cooked, delicious, and healthy meals.
It is usually week #3 in the last 2 months, where I fall apart. NOT THIS TIME. 2 weeks from now, mark my words I am going to continue to eat whole and clean.
I happily have my Eden Organics delivery showing up TODAY, and it will be coming weekly. I will be eating more veggies, some fruit, and keeping the grains to a minimum. (I LOVE CARBS, seriously people, but I find they just stick right to me - so until I want to maintain in a month or so here, I think I will keep those grains to a lower level).
I cannot wait!!! This has infused a new inspiration to me. I'm not going to give up. And these knees are going to heal. And I am going to get my arms back!!!! My arms have toned out but shrunk to a normal womanish arms.
Back to potty pushups, and arm intensive CT seeing as my CT (circuit training) cannot emphasize my legs much anymore until I heal. (Frownie face on that). But there is hope. I am making slow moves towards legs. I have started VERY CAREFULLY incorporating my old favs, forward lunges.
I put 6 in (3 right, 3 left) in each circuit. I take my time, I focus on form form form and no pressure on the tendons, engaging my thighs more and relying on my joints less...
And it seems to be okay so far. SLOW moves. CAREFUL moves. Methodical. I still am physically not able to do squats, my body will NOT allow me to straighten my back out to perform proper form. I tried with Jim and it was apparent my body is not ready.
I have and known proper form, but it is the weirdest thing because I can feel my body specifically NOT permitting me to perform this. Wow.
I tried about 3 times and then the one time I did it right I said, "ooooh definitely not, baby." hahaha. Cause, I could feel the *wrong* feeling in the tendons. I also found an excellent all natural pain reliever at PCC made for joints, arthritic and tendinitis it said. And it works pretty well.
Says it has poison ivy in it??
Regardless. I thought I was dropping $12 for a maybe useful item, and now I am glad I did.
