Time to start the 100 pushups in 6 weeks challenge.
Did the self test; clocking in at 32 good form consecutive. Haven't been doing any in the last few months...
While it is possible I could have done more (I almost think my brain wimped out before my arms) I know I am in rank 4 at www.onehundredpushups.com because there is no way I could have done 50 or more putting me in rank 5.
This has me starting at week 3 per the website - and on the last column as per my results.
This seems reasonable.

This puts my first 100 pushup workout tomorrow, Weds, and Friday.
We'll roll with it!

What do you do to convince yourself to start these missions?

I keep wanting to start regularly visiting the gym and I know I'm good at sticking w/ things when I start and keep going, but I'm having a hard time actually STARTING those visits. Things keep coming up that distract me...

Convincing...

There is not a lot of convincing that happens for me.
I have always sort of been the kind to WANT something, and go after it.

If you follow the path with the most heart for you - then things sort of manifest. The big deal is remembering that any benefits come through hard work - and without hard work, you reap few benefits.
If you think about your benefits and truly love the work, the convincing is transparent?

If the gym isn't your thing, what about something that IS? What if the gym is just not the right thing for you?

Ever thought of other means to get your workouts in?

Etc.
My thoughts on this. I didn't want to sound arrogant about my motivation - I do have times when I have to kick my own ass to get things done. But this is the basic concept right here. Following the path that feels right to me.

And random:
The 100 pushups one seems pretty easy though.
Mostly because I used to do 100-140 pushups a day for my "potty pushups" along side at times with my circuit training, which had me doing about 3-4 sets of between 20-30 pushups regularly...
I was just thinking about this after I read the website. LOL.

I stopped CT'ing after I messed my back a little - so now I am trying to sort of recoup some much missed pushups. (I enjoy this sort of thing - once again).
