A wet drive.
Oct. 21st, 2003 08:54 amOpening the door to my morning, I gazed out into the darkness. The rain pelted down, as I ran hap-hazardly to my car, and jumped in. I wasn’t tired, or altogether feeling much of anything. Just another Tuesday morning. To bring me another week, as October seems to quickly speed away from me.
My car slashed through the country side, as the lights from oncoming traffic made the wet sparkle through my windshield. I was lost, (to thought), as my music played on in a din over the road noise of my tires against the slick pavement of the road. The bass, kicking at the body of my Eclipse. On, and on I surged, closer and closer to my destination. Work. Arriving at work, scampering across the rainy parking lot, I jammed my key into the building’s back door. Into my office I stepped, opening the set to another day.
