Good News!
May. 21st, 2010 05:22 pmNothing wrong with my numbers apparently - my thyroid according to the test is fine.
I do find that to be good news...
Bad news... I have no idea how I gained 20lbs in such a short period of time.
And to lose it healthily will easily take me double or triple that time frame.
Here's to hoping errr... I can shift the right things to make this work for me?
I can't worry too much or I will lose my shit.

Date: 2010-05-22 06:07 pm (UTC)Errr, last I checked - no...
Date: 2010-05-22 06:40 pm (UTC):) Pregnancy would be err. Worse than hypothyroidism :P
Granted, I've been doing my Birth Control with the every-other-month period (instead of what they now do as quarterly).
And the big reason I chose not to go quarterly was for early detection if the blah happened.
If I did get pregnant, I think I'd name my child "Blah."
:) That'd be super mean... ;)
I will check into that one. Pronto. The thought entered my mind, but I was thinking (not to give a hit against Jimmers and my sex life or anything) "Jee, we haven't really been boinking very often...."
(Once you've hit the big "together for some years," you see you hit certain low-sex phases, and typically the cycle changes eventually as I've experienced it.)

Re: Errr, last I checked - no...
Date: 2010-05-23 04:04 am (UTC)And yes, I would check with an endocrinologist if you aren't pregnant, because they will take thyroid concerns more seriously and do the tests that break out all the different hormone levels. GPs can be dismissive of thyroid concerns, and IMO if the GP can't find anything wrong but something is clearly up an endocrinologist is a good place to start digging deeper for answers anyway.
Good luck!

Date: 2010-05-25 05:27 am (UTC)Fortunately... I'm not on any other meds at the moment! And not pregnant. But it was good to rule it out :P
