Head trip.

My brain is slightly mushy.
I’ve spoken to Officer EH 3 times today—as he’s had problems with his rover. Somehow, they [Dispatchers] seem to relate one officer’s troubles to ALL the rovers. Been in contact with Officer DB several times also. *sighs* Too many cops this week, too many cops.

It’s also amusing that both the cops and the dispatchers, seem to talk shit about each other behind their backs. Mutual dislike on both sides. I’ve sat there and listened to the dispatchers say, “my officers are so lazy… I try and tell them to do things and they just don’t want to get off their ass to take a call…” or conversely, “dispatchers don’t do a thing! They’ll be getting rid of that job before we know it. They’ll automate it all and officers will take the calls directly, and therefore we won’t even need dispatchers. They don’t work to get their money…”

Good gods. How amusing somehow. I like everybody. And so far as I know, it’s mutual.

It’s a head trip to realize what I do for a living.
Particularly when the squad car is pulling away from me, and I realize that the police come to me for technical support…. How weird is that. It’s like my fucking dream, alive. I’m all of 19 years old… hah.
Other times, I think it’s the easiest job ever, and I wonder why they bother with me.

That’s okay. Today? I’m just awaiting for 6PM to arrive. And 7PM for SK.
