Birthday Update!

angelakSO here’s my post about my birthday.
I’m 20 now. I rather like that number. Some people whine about 20 not being 21; but I find this notion ridiculous. Bars and alcohol could be a fun aspect when legal and taken from a responsible manner; but not what makes one age more important than another!
I woke up later than planned and didn’t go see Princess Bride 2 with my parents. Sad! Really wanted to see that. Instead we hung out and went to Costco. Mom bought me a Berry Sundae.... It was relaxing. Again, reminding me how much I love my parents and just being able to be with them.
They needed more time so we wandered Costco. In Kirkland. Steve thought we were at the Issaquah Costco. Oopsh.
We arrived around 2PM. The yard was decorated and there were people there. I went inside and the first people I noticed were Mel and Benson.
I’ve missed Mel so much, and had such a hard time getting a hold of her. The next person was Jyo... yet another friendly face that I’m afraid I seriously need to see more of.
Then I noticed all the rest of my friends. It was awesome. There was food and fun things. I opened presents sporadically [which I think drove dear Cheryl insane, heheheehe]...yeay Cheryl and Vicki! Sad that I didn’t get to spend more time with Vicki... so many people. I am glad she will be visiting this weekend.
It was good to talk to people. My siblings were there, and my parents. Had we not been on a tight schedule, my mom and dad would have stayed longer. But we left the puppies in the kennel at the apartment, so they could only stay so long. Sad!
Inna and Vicki and Jessie and Ruthie and Aibas and family and Herne51... It was awesome.
After the larger group of people left; remaining were Cristin, Inna, Aibas, herne51, the kids... Kelsi, and Jackie.
[Jackie is always a refreshing person to see.]
It was a valuable weekend in itself because I spent TWO days with Kelsi. I remember all of the things that I’ve always loved about Kelsi as a friend.
First and foremost; that she’s just plain out awesome.
I guess I can’t describe how special it was for me.
Though Mel, Ryan, and Jyo could not stay long.... their appearances meant so much to me.
I hope Mel realized that ;) I know she doesn’t have lj...or probably will never read this. I’ll have to try phone-calling AGAIN!.
What else to say? I can’t begin to thank you all. It has shown me what kind of chosen family I have gained in the last year. I thank the Aibas and herne51 household immensely. [The children entertained Steve!] Although I have spent not nearly enough time with either of you, it was just so awesome to just hang out. Yeay for herne51 and his barbequing skillz.
Did I mention Aibas rocks? ;)
